Belt of the Abyss

Spirit Armour for a Void Keeper

Belt of the Abyss

This artifact has found its person

Belt of the Abyss was created for a Void Keeper; one who draws power from the depths and walks willingly into the unknown.

Made for tattoo artist and snake priestess Aliki Karveli of Black Arrows Tattoos, this piece emerged through a labour of passion, persistence, and frustration. More than twelve hours of handwork went into its creation, becoming one of the first artefacts that revealed the direction of the craft itself.

Prior to this piece there was exploration. After this piece there was certainty.

The belt marked a turning point between figuring out what was being made and knowing. It revealed a creative language that had previously only been sensed. In many ways it was the first glimpse of what would later become the signature character of the workshop.

The sigils and stitched pathways carry no direct translation. Their meaning was never intended for explanation. They were created for a specific individual and reflect aspects of their spiritual identity better understood by the wearer than by the maker. The symbols were recognised rather than invented.

As with all spirit armour, the purpose is not protection from the world but the strengthening of alignment within it. The piece acts as a point of focus; a physical anchor for something intangible.

The artifact was a part of the exchange for spirit armour chest plate tattoo, continuing the cycle of transformation through reciprocal craft.

Though many works have followed, Belt of the Abyss remains one of the maker's favourites and one of the defining artefacts of the collection.

Some artefacts are purchased. Others arrive through exchange. This one found its keeper long ago.
